The Pocatello Police Department raided two local businesses, the Silver Foxx and the Alternative Video Store on Wednesday morning in an ongoing crackdown on the synthetic drug, Spice, in town.

According to a press release, police simultaneously served search warrants at the stores, on 2nd and 5th Avenues respectively, at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Idaho lawmakers added Spice and other drugs like it to the state’s illegal controlled substance list earlier this year.

Police were seen surrounding Alternative Video later this morning, while the Silver Foxx simply posted a sign that read “Sorry we are closed for a while!”

Police seized approximately $11,000 in cash, two vehicles and a large quantity of what they believe is Pep Spice. The press release states that the raids are part of an ongoing investigation that started in July, and are not connected to the raids of Tats N Rags and Euphoria back in September.
