Valentine’s Day is a time for lovers to express just how much they care about each other. It’s also a time for single people to hate the world and suddenly mount a campaign against love. Although the holiday is meant to be sweet, sometimes is can all go very, very wrong. Maybe your boyfriend picked the wrong day to break up with you. Maybe your wife greeted your candy and flowers with a restraining order. Maybe that random you picked up a bar turned out to be an excellent con artist. Whatever the case, we want to hear all about it!
In our first February issue, we’ll be sharing your stories. Don’t worry about being embarrassed, all the stories will remain anonymous. But please, don’t send us works of fiction. While we’re very confident in your ability to make up some truly horrific tales, these stories are better if they actually happened. That said, feel free to send along tales that happened to people you know. Maybe you’ve even been a vicious heart breaker on V-Day yourself! Don’t keep it in, it’s better to talk it out.
Send your Valentine’s Day horror stories to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Jan. 25.
