On Tuesday night Pocatello Police investigated at least eight vehicle burglaries, all on the east side of town, and the victims likely let out a collective “what the hell, man!” Oh, they would just love to get their hands on whoever broke into their cars. Well they have to keep their hands to themselves, but they can now lay eyes on who police believe are behind the string of burglaries.
Detectives and officers were called to the Wells Fargo bank on South Main Street yesterday morning, where the suspects were attempting to exchange money police believed to be stolen in the burglaries. Officers brought the three suspects to the PPD station for questioning. In the end, the three, Kandiss R. Sanchez, 23, Zachery C. McGriff, 20, and Jalen M. Heard, 19, confessed to the burglaries and were swiftly incarcerated.
Officers searched one house in the 1400 block of North Garfield Avenue, and impounded one car, where they found more evidence. Officers are working on getting warrants for two more houses.
In the meantime, Pocatello Police charged all three with felony burglary.
