The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect after a burglar stole nearly $8,000 in drugs from a Driggs pharmacy Friday morning.
Deputies responded to an alarm at Corner Drug at about 6 a.m. Friday, and found a door to an adjoining business open. Inside the pharmacy they found a large amount of drugs missing. But this wasn’t your run-of-the-mill acetaminophen or ibuprofen, this thief got away with some serious drugs.
According to the sheriff’s office, a lot of schedule 2 narcotics were missing, including methadone, ritalin and oxycodone. The value of the drugs, which were stored in generic, white bottles instead of prescription bottles, was estimated at about $8,000.
Surveillance footage shows a suspect wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sweat pants, a ski mask and gloves. Apparently a witness saw the thief leaving the area of Corner Drug behind the Driggs City Building. The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any information to contact their office at 208.354.2323.
